Anthony Kearns Profile & Gallery

I was born at an early age. I’ll always remember my first
model, I was seven and it was 1979, a Matchbox kit of a Fairey Swordfish biplane.
The wings were upside down on it but nevertheless I was hooked.
After a brief period away from modelling during which I invented boozing, football
and fair maidens, I returned to doing Tamiya panzers in the early 90s.
I quickly found I was more interested in the figures that came with them,
so the Panzers made way.
My favourite periods are really 18th & 19th Centuries, but I’ll have
a go at any figure that takes my eye.
I still consider myself very much on a learning curve in modelling. And there’s nothing I enjoy more than having learned something during project, however small.
I’d always remind people of a quote from the old golfer, Gary Player, “The more I practice, the luckier I get.” Modelling is no different….
